Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee and raised in Thompson's Station, Tennessee to Tish Cyrus & Billy Ray Cyrus. Five siblings are hers - two half-brothers, one half-sister, and an older brother and sister. The Miley's parents chose her in hopes they would have her succeed. Miley was nicknamed Smiley in her youth and was rewarded for being cheerful. Her father, a Democrat politician Ron Cyrus, was her paternal grandparents. Cyrus began her studies at Heritage Elementary School located in Tennessee. Cyrus was able to move with her family to Toronto Canada when she was eight. Cyrus' father Billy Ray was cast in Doc (2001). Cyrus started to think about acting around this point. Her first role came alongside her dad in Doc (2001). She also scored a small role on Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). In 2005, Cyrus got the role of the main character for Hannah Montana, a Disney series Hannah Montana (2006), featuring a teenage girl living an alternate life of pop-star. Her father appeared along with the show. The show went down a storm and hits records, sell-out tours and merchandise deals were followed. Cyrus turned into a teenager-friendly star. Cyrus, who had starred on the screen in Hannah Montana (2006) and The Last Song (2010) along with Demi Moore, moved on to other performances.
